As word spread, local families began seeking targeted support for complex subjects, K-12 test prep, special education, and reading literacy. What started as a single passion project rapidly grew into a hand-picked team of exceptional local educators. Today, Unboggle brings premium, convenient, in-home academic support to families throughout the Houston region and exceptional virtual tutoring to students anywhere.

I am very pleased with Unboggle tutoring services. The owner, Andranise, is very responsive and receptive to feedback and ensures that there is a good fit between your child and his/her tutor. When the first one didn’t work out, she quickly filled in and then found another individual who is perfect for my child. In addition, I get written feedback on the progress of each session. Highly recommend!

Darius

Tutor

Hi, I’m Darius Goodman and I’d love to work with your student! I graduated from Carleton College in June 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and my “day job” is working as a financial professional, but I’ve possessed a love of learning my whole life, starting my formal teaching journey as a Teaching Assistant for the Breakthrough Collaborative in the summer of 2019.
With pitstops tutoring local students in my college town, teaching at KIPP: Academy Middle School, and serving as a lead tutor at Sylvan Learning, I have a wide breadth of experience in everything from helping pre-K students identify and write letters of the alphabet to preparing students for the ISEE, SAT, ACT, and TSI, along with everything in between. Every student is unique, and my goal is to meet them where they are, provide individualized instruction that builds confidence and aid them in reaching their definition of success, while building critical thinking and problem-solving skills along the way. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing chess, getting fresh air on my longboard, and rooting for my hometown Houston sports teams!

I have tutored several math-related subjects from Pre-algebra to Pre-calculus. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University. Math is one of the strongest subjects I can teach, although I enjoy tutoring English and writing as well.
As someone who is also learning everyday, I understand that students may not fully grasp the material taught in just one way. I aim to adopt several enriching and flexible teaching styles that cater to the student’s learning style – whether it be visual, auditorial, or analogies – achieving success is just one lesson away.
My favorite hobbies and interests have everything to do with creativity, whether it be composing music, creating art, writing, folding origami, making videos, and anything my hands can grab. I love sharing my crafts and seeing or hearing about others as well!
